Noter:
Berild Clausen held Bjørnegård, 10' Vdg. Klemensker, from 1682 until
1695. When he took over the farm, from Jørgen Hansen, it was
described as
being "brøstfældig" (in sad disrepair) and its forest badly depleted.
For which Berild Clausen sued for compensation, however he was only
awarded 10 Silverdalers and 1
Mark. In 1695 Berild Clausen moved to Sandvig, where he undertook the
role of guardian and lawyer for Elisabeth Clausdatter, the widow of
the murdered Henrich Nielsen
(born 1659). Elisabeth later married his brother Mogens Clausen Torn.
Berild became involved in several court cases and ended up himself,
in 1701 and 1703, being
sentenced for "his rebellious undertakings". We do not know the end
of his fate, for his name suddenly disappears from legal records
around 1703. He may have died, or
been put into jail and died there.
