Noter:
From Jørn Klindt's book "På sporet af de første Kofod'er", published
in 1979:
The widow Elisabeth Akeleye needed a new man on her farm, and it
seems she had not tired of the Kofoeds! In 1692 she married a son
from nearby Kofoedgård, the 30 year old Claus Hansen Kofoed, whose
father was cousin to her deceased husband. Claus Kofoed moved in
with Elisabeth at Maglegård, where she had the right to live and farm
as long as she lived. Claus advanced to becom Major in the military,
and they resided there until her death in 1739, nearly 85 years old.
Her and Jens Pedersen Kofoed's grandson Gabriel Larsen Kofoed, the
son of their daughter Margrethe Elisabeth, took over the farm after
her passing. In 1744 he bought the farm from the crown, and from
then on that beautiful farm has stayed within that family.
