Noter:
Peder Michelsen lived at the family farm of Søgård, 19' Slg.
Østermarie, while he was guardian for his younger brother Michel
Michelsen. In 1700 his brother Michel died childless,
and evidently there was a dispute over who held the rights to Søgård.
Michel's widow Margrethe Sørensdatter, and her new husband Hans
Hansen, sought to keep the farm. A senate
judgement (Landstingsdom) of December 12, 1702 confirmed that
entitlement to Søgård belonged to Peder Michelsen.

A legal document of land transfer (Mageskiftebrev og
overdragelsesbrev) dated January 15, 1706, and read out on January
18, states that Hans Hansen (Margrethe Sørensdatter's
husband), now of Sjælegård, 22' Slg. Østermarie, has acknowledged
that the rights and access to Søgård belong to Peder Michelsen, who
was the current residence of the farm.

From the Østermarie kirkebog: March 25, 1734: was not able to read
the burial record for Peder Michelsen, page in very poor shape.

October 1, 1735: Prædichet over sl. Peder Michelsøns enche Kirstine
Bensdaatter.
