Jens Madsen Kofoed was Chief Justice for Bornholm for over 35 years.
He was married to Anna Spendt, who died November 23, 1618. The
couple presented a chandelier to Nyker Church, which bears their seal
(våbenskjolde). The seal includes the first seen representation of a
truss (gavlsparren) in a Kofoed coat-of-arms. He took over Kyndegård
after his brother Peder Kofoed.
