Aage Kure writes: Claus Gagge obtained Fuglsanggård in Ibsker, which
thereafter is known as Gaggegård. A judgement was made against him -
forcing him to pay a large fine, because
he had killed a man caught stealing from his forest. Both Claus
Gagge, his wife and their only son died of plague in 1654. His only
daughter was married to Hans Madsen Kofoed of
Eskildsgård; the two of them also died also of plague in 1654. Their
daughter Kirsten Hansdatter Kofoed outlived them, and was able to
continue the Kofoed-line, which goes back to
free-man Hans Kofoed on Blykobbegård. She took over two crop-farms
(sædegårde) in Nyker parish, besides many other farms.
